A new highlight comes to Rothenbaum this year: Monday, May 18th marks the premiere of the “German Tennis Day.” On this day, Alexander Zverev is expected play his first match, joined by fellow German players including Jan-Lennard Struff and Justin Engel.*
German Tennis Day is designed to showcase the strength and diversity of German tennis. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in black, red and gold, helping to create a unique atmosphere across the venue. A range of on-site activations will further enhance the overall fan experience throughout the day.
“We are pleased to once again have a strong German presence at this year’s tournament,” said Tournament Director Enric Molina Mur. “Jan-Lennard Struff is still going strong after so many years at the highest level, and Justin Engel is a prominent member of the next generation of German tennis. Having the best of different generations of German tennis competing at Rothenbaum, will no doubt be something very special for German tennis fans.”
Speaking about the German Tennis Day, Molina Mur added: “With the German Tennis Day, we want to create a dedicated stage for German players and fans. It will be a great opportunity for everyone at the venue to experience top-level tennis – including Alexander Zverev and emerging talents like Justin Engel – in a particularly vibrant and engaging atmosphere.”
